Roles & Responsibilities
- Help patients regain strength and mobility through personalized therapeutic exercises and activities
- Implement and adjust treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists to meet each patient's goals
- Document patient progress accurately and communicate updates to the rehab team
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or outpatient rehab is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Knowledge & Skills
- Therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation techniques
- Patient assessment and progress documentation
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Compassionate, patient-first attitude
