Roles & Responsibilities

• Help patients regain strength and mobility through personalized therapeutic exercises and activities
• Implement and adjust treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists to meet each patient's goals
• Document patient progress accurately and communicate updates to the rehab team
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or outpatient rehab is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation techniques
• Patient assessment and progress documentation
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital setting
