Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities
• Document patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs
• Collaborate with the rehab team to ensure quality care
• Help patients regain independence in daily living skills

Qualifications

• Active COTA certification (NBCOT)
• New Mexico state license or compact eligibility
• Previous experience in rehab or skilled nursing preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of therapeutic techniques and modalities
• Knowledge of documentation standards for rehab services
• Patient assessment and progress monitoring
• Team collaboration and communication
• Compassionate patient-centered approach
