Medical Physicist - Radiation Oncology

Shift Type: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $172 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform accurate radiation treatment planning and dose calculations to ensure safe, effective therapy
- Conduct comprehensive quality assurance on linear accelerators, imaging systems, and treatment planning software
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to develop and optimize patient treatment plans
- Verify treatment parameters and documentation using ARIA and EPIC systems, maintaining meticulous records
- Champion radiation safety protocols and comply with all regulatory standards to protect patients, staff, and the community
- Provide technical guidance and support to the radiation oncology team to elevate patient care
Qualifications
- You're board-certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Medical Physics
- You hold a current BLS certification
- You have experience with radiation oncology systems like ARIA, EPIC, or SHARE DRIVE - a big plus
- You're able to meet health screening and credentialing requirements for this assignment
- You're committed to patient safety and quality care
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of radiation therapy treatment planning and quality assurance
- Working knowledge of ARIA RadOnc, EPIC, and SHARE DRIVE CTC-RadOnc
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and systems
