Roles & Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and guide them through intake and check-in procedures
Obtain and record vital signs and basic health information accurately
Assist clinicians during exams and procedures with professionalism and care
Document encounters and updates in the electronic health record clearly and promptly
Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies to support smooth patient flow
Coordinate appointments and follow-up tasks to keep patients on track
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to keep skills sharp and current

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant diploma or certificate preferred
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent preferred but motivated new grads are welcome
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification recommended or willingness to obtain
Strong communication skills and a patient-focused attitude
Ability to pass background checks and any required facility onboarding

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation
Proficiency taking vitals, performing basic clinical tasks, and assisting providers
Organizational skills to manage patient flow and clinical supplies
Clear, compassionate communication with patients and care teams
Comfort working in a fast-paced outpatient setting and learning on the job
