Roles & Responsibilities

• Greet and triage patients with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming experience
• Obtain and record vital signs and basic health histories accurately
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient exams and procedures
• Collect specimens and perform routine point-of-care testing according to protocol
• Document clinical findings and patient interactions in the electronic health record clearly
• Coordinate scheduling, referrals, and basic insurance verifications to keep care moving
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe clinical environment
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to continuously improve skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) preferred
• BLS/CPR certification required or must be obtained upon hire
• Previous clinical experience preferred but motivated new graduates are welcome
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings
• Comfortable using electronic health records and basic office software

Education

Knowledge & Skills

• Taking and interpreting vital signs and basic clinical assessments
• Phlebotomy and proper specimen handling procedures

• Scheduling, referral coordination, and insurance basics
• HIPAA compliance and infection prevention principles
