Roles & Responsibilities

Perform patient intake and clinical rooming with compassion and attention to detail
Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and reason for visit
Assist providers with examinations and procedures as directed
Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record
Prepare exam rooms, maintain supplies, and ensure infection-control standards
Communicate clearly and kindly with patients and families to support excellent care

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Medical Assistant diploma/certificate preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or must obtain upon hire
Current state licensure/credentialing as required by Missouri regulations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset
Comfortable with 5-hour shift assignments and flexible scheduling as needed

Education

High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in taking vitals and performing routine clinical procedures
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and accurate clinical documentation
Knowledge of infection control, patient privacy (HIPAA), and clinic workflows
Ability to assist with injections/phlebotomy as permitted by scope of practice
Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic
