Location: Spokane, WA

Start Date: 05-14-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Ambulatory (AM) 5-hour shift; exact start/end times and specific days to be confirmed with hiring manager (orientation required)

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during ambulatory patient visits
Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and current medications accurately
Collect specimens and perform basic lab procedures as authorized
Room patients efficiently and ensure smooth appointment flow
Document clinical encounters in the electronic health record in a timely manner
Educate patients on follow-up instructions, medications, and self-care
Maintain clean, safe exam rooms and manage clinical supplies

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent preferred; on-the-job training may be considered
BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
Experience in ambulatory care or outpatient clinic settings preferred
Comfortable with phlebotomy and basic clinical procedures
Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant diploma/certificate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation
Vital signs collection, patient rooming, and basic clinical assessments
Phlebotomy and specimen handling best practices
Infection control and HIPAA-compliant patient privacy practices
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinic
