Roles & Responsibilities

• Greet patients with warmth and professionalism, making each visit welcoming
• Prepare exam rooms and assist clinicians during patient assessments and procedures
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints accurately
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic wound care as trained
• Support efficient patient flow by managing schedules, rooming, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record and ensure confidentiality
• Assist with inventory management of clinical supplies and report any needs promptly
• Participate in orientation and training to maintain skill currency and compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred
• Active CMA/AAMA credential or equivalent preferred (or relevant clinical experience)
• Current BLS/CPR certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Comfortable with phlebotomy, basic clinical procedures, and EHR documentation
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certificate or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with outpatient clinical workflows and infection control practices
• Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer skills
• Excellent vital signs and clinical assessment technique
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Team-oriented mindset with a patient-first approach
