Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to walk-in clinic patients within the scope of LPN licensure, making each visit count.
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, clinic staff and providers to ensure smooth, patient-centered care.
Obtain and record vital signs accurately and perform timely patient assessments.
Triage patient calls effectively, prioritizing needs and escalating to providers or RN as appropriate.
Manage prescription refills and complete prior authorizations to keep patients’ treatments on track.
Give direction to CNAs and schedulers and coordinate day-to-day clinic activities to support efficient operations.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including providers, coordinators, clinical managers and RNs to meet patient needs.
Maintain clinical documentation following clinic standards and state/federal licensure requirements.

Qualifications

Current State LPN license required
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Comfortable taking vital signs, performing patient assessments and triaging patient calls
Experience with prescription refills and completing prior authorizations
Ability to delegate and supervise CNAs and work collaboratively with schedulers and clinic staff
Adheres to continuing education and licensure renewal requirements

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

Vital signs measurement and patient assessment
Triage protocols and urgent care workflows
Prescription refill processes and prior authorization procedures
Clinical documentation and charting best practices
Team collaboration and clear communication with providers and staff
Delegation and supervision of CNAs and non-clinical staff
