Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as scheduled), 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Day shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Orono Commons area
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow care plans
Communicate effectively with patients and families to support understanding and comfort
Maintain accurate, timely charting and comply with facility policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Current LPN or RN license in good standing (appropriate for the role you apply for)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications encouraged
Ability to work per diem shifts including 12+ hour day coverage
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first attitude
Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
Immunizations and background checks as required by the facility

Education

Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program (diploma, associate degree, or BSN as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid clinical assessment and vital signs monitoring
Medication administration and reconciliation best practices
Wound care basics and infection prevention
Accurate, timely documentation and charting skills
Prioritization, time management, and safe clinical judgment
Collaborative coordination with nursing staff and ancillary services
