Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Start Date: 05-06-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift (exact start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed by facility)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents according to care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor resident condition and promptly communicate changes to the care team
Document care, observations, and interventions clearly and timely
Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members to improve resident outcomes
Support residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity and independence

Qualifications

Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in Pennsylvania or compact/state-appropriate licensure
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain prior to start)
Ability to pass background checks and comply with facility immunization requirements
Strong communication skills and a resident-centered mindset
Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred

Education

Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program; high school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and basic IV/site care knowledge
Familiarity with electronic or paper medical record charting
Assessment skills for noticing subtle changes in resident condition
Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical environment
Teamwork, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with residents and families
