Roles & Responsibilities

• Explain Transcranial Doppler (TCD) procedures to patients, helping them feel comfortable and informed
• Perform high-quality Doppler Ultrasound Studies to evaluate blood flow in the brain
• Locate and assess MCA, ACA, ICA, PCA, and Basilar arteries on both sides of the brain
• Generate clear, detailed reports for neurosurgeons to support accurate diagnoses
• Sanitize and maintain equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Successful completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostic program
• 5 years of work-related experience in neurodiagnostics
• Current BLS certification
• Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEGT.) via ABRET required
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred

Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Successful completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostic program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of Transcranial Doppler protocols and cerebral vascular anatomy
• Skill in operating Doppler Ultrasound equipment with accuracy and care
• Strong patient communication skills to explain procedures clearly
• Ability to generate precise reports for physicians and neurosurgeons
• Knowledge of equipment sanitation and infection control practices
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records
