Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings and prophylaxis to keep patients smiling bright
• Assess oral health conditions and document findings for the dentist
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene routines and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable visit
• Maintain strict infection control standards and sterilize instruments

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in dental hygiene, preferably in a clinical setting
• Wonderful communication skills to connect with patients
• Ability to work afternoon and evening hours

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and hygiene techniques
• Familiarity with digital radiography and X-ray safety
• Understanding of infection control protocols and OSHA standards
• Comfortable using dental software and electronic health records
• Strong patient education and interpersonal skills
