Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care, including teeth cleanings and preventive treatments
• Educate patients on oral health best practices and personalized home care routines
• Take and process dental X-rays to support accurate diagnosis
• Assist the dentist during procedures and examinations
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately
• Sterilize and prepare operatory rooms and dental instruments to maintain a safe environment
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Active State of Virginia Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Prior dental hygiene experience is a plus, but new grads are welcome to apply
• Strong patient care skills and a caring, professional demeanor

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental hygiene procedures and patient care
• Excellent communication skills to connect with patients
• Comfortable using dental software and digital radiography
• Knowledge of infection control standards and OSHA regulations
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dental practice
