Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional preventive dental care, including cleanings and oral health assessments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care techniques
• Take and analyze dental x-rays to support diagnosis and treatment planning
• Document patient care accurately and maintain confidential health records
• Collaborate closely with dentists to develop and implement treatment plans
• Ensure a safe, sterile clinical environment by following infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with dental software and digital radiography
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental anatomy, periodontal disease, and preventive techniques
• Proficiency in dental radiography (x-ray) and patient charting
• Excellent interpersonal skills for educating and comforting patients
• Attention to detail and strict adherence to infection control standards
