Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy to keep patients' smiles healthy
• Assess patients' oral health, review medical histories, and maintain accurate records
• Take and develop dental X-rays using proper techniques and safety measures
• Educate patients on effective brushing, flossing, and preventive care habits
• Support the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and assisting chairside
• Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive agents as needed
• Sterilize equipment and maintain a clean, infection-controlled treatment environment
• Collaborate with the dental team to create a welcoming and positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Wisconsin in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Experience taking dental radiographs and providing patient education is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, compassionate chairside manner
• New graduates are welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing procedures
• Familiarity with dental instruments, digital X-ray equipment, and sterilization best practices
• Understanding of infection control and HIPAA compliance standards
• Skill in educating patients on preventive oral healthcare
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental practice
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
