Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylactic treatments to keep patients smiling bright
• Assess patients' oral health and report findings to the dentist
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques for long-term health
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately
• Sterilize dental instruments and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in New York State
• Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and patient-care skills
• Experience with dental software is a plus
• Ability to work a 10-hour shift and adapt to patient needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Skill in taking dental radiographs
• Understanding of infection control protocols
• Excellent bedside manner and patient education skills
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
• Ability to work collaboratively with dentists and staff
