Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide thorough dental cleanings and oral health assessments to patients
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Document patient care accurately and maintain clinical records
- Collaborate with dentists to develop patient treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (required)
- Current CPR certification
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instrumentation
- Knowledge of dental software and electronic health records
- Understanding of infection control standards
- Ability to maintain patient comfort and manage anxiety
