Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexible schedules: 5/8s or 4/10s)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients in a correctional setting
Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care
Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Offer crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted California medical license
Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
DEA registration
At least 2 years of psychiatric experience preferred
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Education

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong diagnostic and assessment skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficient in electronic health records (EHR)
Knowledge of psychopharmacology and evidence-based treatments
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
