Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide thorough dental cleanings and oral hygiene instruction to patients
- Perform periodontal assessments and document patient care
- Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure a safe environment
- Educate patients on preventive dental care and treatment plans
- Maintain strict infection control standards and sterilize equipment
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
- Current CPR certification (BLS)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in scaling, root planing, and prophylaxis
- Familiarity with dental practice management software
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality care
