Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist periodontists during surgical and non-surgical procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision
• Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Manage inventory and order dental supplies to keep the clinic running smoothly

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or registration as required by Maryland
• BLS/CPR certification
• Experience in periodontal dentistry preferred
• Excellent chairside manner and patient communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and periodontal procedures
• Proficiency with dental software and patient management systems
• Strong infection control practices
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
