Roles & Responsibilities

Perform CT and MRI procedures according to established protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images
Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, escalating to service engineers when needed to minimize downtime
Practice and promote radiation safety and ALARA principles to protect patients and staff
Maintain accurate patient records and charges in the EHR, including PACS and RIS/HIS documentation
Provide clear patient education and compassionate care to ensure cooperation and comfort during exams
Assist, train, and cross-train imaging staff; support OR imaging, C-arm, fluoroscopy, and other modalities as needed
Manage supplies and inventory to keep the department running smoothly
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and comply with regulatory and infection control standards

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
ARRT registration in Radiology with CT and MRI certifications required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 90 days of hire
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and pass background and pre-employment drug/alcohol screens
Minimum age 18 (21 if position requires driving)
Preferred: Two years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist with CT and MRI experience
Preferred: Cross-training in DEXA and Mammography and experience with PACS and RIS/HIS

Education

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

Knowledge & Skills

Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) expertise
Radiography, X-ray, and fluoroscopy skills including C-arm and OR imaging support
Strong patient-care skills and patient education techniques
Radiation safety and ALARA compliance
Proficiency with EHR, PACS, and RIS/HIS systems and procedure charging
Equipment operation and troubleshooting
Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
