Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) to promote dignity and comfort.
- Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff in a timely manner.
- Perform safe resident transfers and use proper body mechanics during lifts and repositioning.
- Observe residents for skin integrity changes and implement turning/repositioning to prevent pressure injuries.
- Respond to resident calls promptly and provide compassionate, respectful care.
- Maintain cleanliness of the resident care area, change linens, and restock supplies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, providers, residents, and families to support care plans.
Qualifications
- Current California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in English (reading, writing, speaking, comprehending)
- Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and functioning well under pressure in a long-term care setting
Education
- Current California CNA license (required)
- Current CPR certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) assistance
- Taking and recording vital signs
- Safe patient transfer techniques
- Turning and repositioning to protect skin integrity
- Resident observation and assessment
- Infection control and maintaining cleanliness
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and care teams
Benefits
- Sign-on bonus: $1,500.00
- Progressive pay scale with 30 pay increments to reward up to 30 years of relevant experience
