Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents including bathing, dressing and grooming
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility support to promote independence
• Measure and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with the care team
• Support a safe and clean environment by following infection control and safety procedures
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent
• Valid CNA certification recognized in Pennsylvania preferred
• Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Successful completion of a state approved CNA program or demonstrable experience
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility health and immunization requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Basic clinical skills such as taking vital signs and observing patient condition
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Clear and professional communication with residents, families and team members
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs effectively
• Basic documentation skills and comfort with electronic or paper charting systems
