Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Start Date: 05-16-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift; specific start/end times and days to be confirmed with facility (Eastern Time)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs, report changes to nursing staff promptly
Assist with safe transfers, positioning and mobility support
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with the care team
Uphold infection control practices and facility policies to ensure patient safety
Support a warm, respectful environment that promotes patient dignity

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or eligible) — Pennsylvania preferred
CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
Strong communication skills and a compassionate patient-focused attitude
Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on experience with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
Basic knowledge of vital sign measurement and documentation
Familiarity with infection prevention and patient safety practices
Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nursing staff
Good observational skills and attention to detail
