Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assist with daily living activities
  • Monitor and record vital signs, promptly reporting any changes to nursing staff
  • Help patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure their safety and comfort
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment
  • Document patient care and observations accurately and in a timely manner
  • Collaborate closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding care

Qualifications

  • Active CNA certification in the state of Virginia (or compact state equivalent)
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • Previous acute care or hospital experience is a plus, but we welcome enthusiastic new grads
  • Ability to work flexible, as-needed shifts and adapt quickly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and teammates
  • A genuine passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid understanding of basic patient care principles and safety protocols
  • Proficiency in obtaining vital signs and recording patient data
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Sharp observation and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent teamwork and active listening abilities

  • Strong organizational skills and the flexibility to multitask
