Location: Belen, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per-diem night shift, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM, days vary (overnight coverage)

Hours per Week: 38

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Assist residents with mobility, safe transfers, and safe use of assistive devices
Monitor, record, and report vital signs and any changes in resident condition
Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with the nursing team
Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Engage residents with respectful, person-centered interactions to promote dignity and quality of life
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to implement individualized care plans

Qualifications

Current, active CNA certification in New Mexico
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable and experienced with overnight shifts and per-diem scheduling
Strong communication skills, reliability, and a caring bedside manner

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
Infection prevention and control practices
Safe transfer and mobility techniques
Basic charting and documentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
