Cath Lab Technologist
Location: Carmichael, CA
Start Date: 09-01-2026
End Date: 12-01-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with required call rotation (average 12 days per month including weekends)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $97 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform scrub duties for cardiac and peripheral procedures, including PCI/STEMI cases
- Assist in all cardiac invasive procedures, excluding structural heart, plus peripheral interventions like carotid, AV grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostics
- Prepare and maintain the Cath Lab environment, equipment, and supplies for each case
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and the care team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes
- Monitor patients during procedures and anticipate the needs of the physician
- Utilize Cerner EMR to document procedures and maintain accurate patient records
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide emergent cardiac care coverage
Qualifications
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- Must have scrub experience for PCI/STEMI and be able to scrub cardiac and peripheral cases
- Candidates must not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity within the past year (PRN through outside firms considered)
- No radiology license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of cardiac and peripheral invasive procedures
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR and documentation
- Ability to anticipate physician needs and respond quickly in emergent situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced lab setting
- Skill in sterile technique and scrub protocol
- Understanding of hemodynamic monitoring and Cath Lab equipment
