Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist with and support a wide range of cardiac catheterization procedures including LHC, RHC, peripherals, structural heart and EP cases
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging and cath lab equipment such as Philips and GE systems
• Document procedures and patient data accurately using Meditech and Mac Lab
• Prepare the cath lab, instruments and supplies for safe, efficient cases
• Provide excellent patient care and maintain appropriate patient ratios (typically 1:3)
• Respond to on-call situations promptly and professionally during nights, weekends and major holidays

Qualifications

• ARRT, CRT, RCIS or RCES required (one of these credentials must be held)
• ACLS and BLS certifications preferred or optional where available
• Minimum 2 years of relevant cardiac cath lab experience
• Previous travel experience and ability to function independently are a plus
• Willingness to cover on-call shifts, weekends and major holidays

Education

• CVT (Cardiovascular Technologist) certification or equivalent allied health credential; RN applicants with cath lab experience may be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong familiarity with cardiac cath lab procedures (LHC, RHC, peripherals, structural heart, EP)
• Experience with Meditech and Mac Lab documentation systems
• Comfortable using Philips and GE imaging equipment
• Able to work independently, stay flexible and adapt to a fast-paced unit
• Good communication skills and teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment
