Roles & Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations of outpatient imaging to ensure high-quality, patient-centered diagnostic services
Supervise and mentor Lead and Senior Technologists while promoting staff development and satisfaction
Manage staffing and scheduling to meet productivity targets and budget expectations
Drive image quality control and enforce departmental policies and procedures
Participate in and support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance activities
Act as a clinical resource and educator for patients, families, students, and interdisciplinary staff
Collaborate with nursing, clerical staff, service engineers, and leadership to coordinate imaging services
Monitor departmental performance, report concerns to the Director, and recommend resource allocation improvements

Qualifications

Minimum five years as a working Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in an acute-care setting
Minimum two years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting
Desired three to five years prior supervisory/managerial experience
Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by CA Dept. of Health Services or ARRT registration
Current CPR certification required
Certification in a specialized area (MRI, NMTBC, etc.) is desired
Associate Degree (minimum) and ability to perform essential clinical and managerial functions

Education

Associate Degree (required) — Radiologic Technology or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of Joint Commission, ACR, and Title 17 & 22 compliance and survey expectations
Strong skills in image quality control, radiation protection, and quality assurance
Proven leadership, communication, delegation, and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with performance improvement processes and regulatory standards implementation
Patient-centered care approach with ability to educate and liaise between patients, physicians, and care teams
