Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess communication and swallowing function using evidence-based evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment plans that make a measurable impact
• Deliver compassionate, goal-driven therapy for a diverse patient population
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapy colleagues to coordinate care
• Document progress thoroughly and communicate results with families and the care team
• Provide caregiver education and discharge planning to support long-term success
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, patient-focused culture

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
• California Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility) — state licensure required for practice
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or active certification in progress
• Experience in adult and/or pediatric settings preferred; new grads encouraged to apply
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, and a team-first attitude

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (MS or MA) required; clinical fellowship completed or in progress preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Assessment and treatment of articulation, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
• Dysphagia evaluation and management, including safe-feeding strategies
• Proficiency with electronic health records and outcome documentation
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies
• Ability to adapt therapy for culturally and linguistically diverse patients
• Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-family education skills
