Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist using evidence-based therapeutic procedures
• Apply therapeutic modalities and assistive devices to restore range of motion, strength, coordination, and mobility
• Assess patient progress and document clinical outcomes clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to develop and adjust treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe functional mobility
• Maintain compliance with the California State Practice Act and clinic policies

Qualifications

• Valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license (LPTA) — required
• Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Experience delivering direct patient care and therapeutic modalities preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a clinical team
• Professional, compassionate approach to patient-centered care

Education

• Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and bedside skills
• Therapeutic procedures and clinical interventions
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities
• Use of assistive devices and gait training
• Range of motion and muscle strengthening techniques
• Documentation and basic clinical assessment skills
