Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop patient-centered care plans
• Manage ventilators and advanced airway therapies for critically ill patients
• Deliver evidence-based respiratory treatments including aerosolized therapy, oxygen therapy, and secretion management
• Monitor and interpret arterial blood gases and adjust therapy in collaboration with providers
• Respond rapidly to respiratory emergencies and participate in code/rapid response situations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, home therapies, and equipment use
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience (as noted in posting)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred
• Current or eligible for state respiratory therapy licensure
• Comfortable with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and critical care environment
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ventilator management and advanced airway support
• Proficient with arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation
• Knowledgeable in oxygen delivery systems, aerosolized medication delivery, and pulmonary hygiene techniques
• Familiar with infection control practices and patient safety standards
• Able to prioritize care in fast-paced, acute settings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
