Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and instrument sets for orthopedic, podiatry, general, GYN, spine and robotics procedures
• Pass instruments and anticipate surgeon needs to keep cases efficient and safe
• Support robotic cases and specialty rooms when scheduled; learn and grow your robotics skillset if needed
• Accurately document care and case details in EPIC to maintain excellent clinical records
• Respond to call within the required 30-minute window and support the team during add-on cases
• Follow hospital safety protocols, infection control and sterile technique to protect patients and staff
• Participate in orientation and unit-specific training to ensure smooth integration into the team

Qualifications

• WA license required at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience; ORTHOPEDIC experience is a must
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• CST certification preferred; NBSTSA certification preferred
• Robotics experience preferred or willingness to learn robotics
• Familiarity with EPIC charting preferred
• Able to work Monday-Friday days with call rotation and occasional weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of OR instrumentation and sterile technique
• Experience supporting orthopedic and podiatry surgical cases
• Comfort assisting in robotics and specialty OR rooms
• Proficiency or familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; be a reliable team player
• Ability to stay organized during high-volume days (avg ~15 cases/day)
