Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care during 12-hour night shifts to assigned patients
Assess patient condition, implement nursing care plans, and document clinical findings clearly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate timely treatments and handoffs
Administer medications and treatments according to policy and physician orders
Monitor and respond to changes in patient status, escalating concerns promptly
Contribute to a positive patient experience by communicating clearly and respectfully

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact-state eligibility
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS a plus depending on unit
Comfortable working night shifts and handling acute clinical scenarios
Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
Professional, reliable, and able to work independently during per-diem assignments

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, acute care, and patient safety practices
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, and basic wound care
Effective communication and teamwork skills in high-paced environments
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm during emergent situations
