Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients, treating each person with dignity
Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
Monitor and accurately record vital signs and report changes to the clinical team
Support patient mobility and safe transfers while following proper body mechanics
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
Document care and observations clearly and promptly in patient records
Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, patients, and families to support coordinated care

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) is preferred or available upon hire
Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols, and infection control procedures
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Comfortable with physical aspects of the role, including lifting and patient transfers

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of patient care basics and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
Basic charting and documentation skills
Compassionate patient-centered communication and teamwork
Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
