Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure surgical instruments are properly decontaminated and sterilized
• Operate autoclave sterilization equipment, including Steris and V-Pro
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and supply inventory
• Prepare and organize surgical trays for operating room procedures
• Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with the OR team to ensure sterile supplies are always available

Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT or IAHCSMM/CRCST)
• Minimum of 2 years of OR sterile processing experience
• Travel experience preferred
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in sterile processing techniques and standards
• Experience with autoclave equipment, including Steris and V-Pro
• Knowledge of infection control and prevention practices
• Familiarity with Cerner Surginet EMR
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
