Speech-Language Pathologist - Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: Salisbury, Maryland
Start Date: 12-07-2025
End Date: 03-07-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Day shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive screenings, evaluations, and treatments for patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans to help patients reach their communication and swallowing goals
- Document all services in compliance with regulations and facility standards, ensuring accurate and timely records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, patients, and families to build a supportive environment for recovery
- Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program (MS/MA)
- Current Maryland SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY eligibility
- Strong communication and clinical problem-solving skills to connect with patients and teams
- A passion for helping others regain their communication and swallowing abilities
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program (MS/MA)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in speech, language, and swallowing therapy for a wide range of patient needs
- Expert in patient evaluation, treatment planning, and clinical problem solving
- Excellent documentation habits to stay compliant with facility and regulatory standards
- Team player who thrives in an interdisciplinary care setting
