Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure their comfort and safety
- Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff
- Help with feeding, nutrition, and hydration, monitoring intake and output
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols
- Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in California
- Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds (with proper technique)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant techniques and procedures
- Proficiency in taking and recording vital signs
- Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for patients and families
