Shift Type: Nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide specialized, compassionate care to level II NICU infants, including premature babies born at 30 weeks and older
- Serve as the delivery room baby nurse for vaginal deliveries and C-sections, ready to stabilize and support newborns
- Manage bubble CPAP, ventilators, and other respiratory support in collaboration with respiratory therapists
- Conduct thorough newborn admissions, assessments, and monitoring, including reading and interpreting monitor strips
- Titrate IV fluids, TPN, and blood products safely and effectively
- Step into the charge RN role when scheduled, coordinating patient assignments, supporting team members, and ensuring smooth unit operations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state) with the ability to submit for licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, with level II experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Experience caring for infants born at 30 weeks and above, including deliveries and C-sections
- Charge RN experience preferred, but a strong team player with a can-do attitude is essential
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in level II NICU care, including newborn admissions and monitoring
- Hands-on skills with bubble CPAP, ventilators, and delivery room nursing
- IV titration experience for fluids, TPN, and blood products
- Comfortable using EPIC for charting and documentation
- Strong ability to read neonatal monitor strips and act quickly
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, especially in high-acuity situations
