Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes promptly to the care team
Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics
Assist with basic clinical tasks under nurse delegation and ensure accurate documentation
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and team members

Qualifications

Current CNA certification or state equivalent required
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Comfortable with per diem/variable scheduling and single-day assignments
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient care and safe transfer techniques
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
Infection control principles and proper PPE use
Basic electronic charting or willingness to learn facility documentation
Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
Clear communication and teamwork in a healthcare environment
