Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient vitals and conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Previous Med/Surg or acute care experience is a plus
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing standards and best practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, care planning, and medication administration
• Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) and charting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment
