Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to Med/Surg patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and vital signs
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Med/Surg nursing experience is a plus, but new grads with strong clinical rotations are welcome to apply
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and unit workflows
• Compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of med-surg nursing principles and protocols
• Skilled in patient assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking
• Proficient in medication administration and electronic health records
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient assignments effectively
