Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing GI/Endoscopy procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout.
• Float to the entire Outpatient Services area, including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and Pre-operative Clinic.
• Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients for complications before, during, and after procedures.
• Utilize nursing assessments to provide peri-operative education and recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation to ensure coverage for urgent procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in WA (or compact state) – must be currently active.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute GI/Endoscopy experience required.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Current BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience with conscious sedation and post-anesthesia care.

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in GI/Endoscopy nursing and conscious sedation.
• Strong nursing assessment skills for peri-operative and post-anesthesia care.
• Ability to recognize and respond to post-operative complications.
• Familiarity with PACU, pre-operative, and day surgery care.
• Charge nurse leadership skills (preferred).
