Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for our residents, ensuring their health and well-being are always the priority
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapy, while monitoring residents for side effects and effectiveness
• Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and staff to coordinate seamless care and keep everyone informed
• Supervise and mentor nursing assistants, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, championing quality and safety in every aspect of care
• Participate in quality management initiatives and infection control protocols to ensure the highest standards are met

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota or compact state - we'll help with the process if needed!
• At least 1 year of experience in long-term care or a related nursing setting
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred (we can help you get certified!)
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong clinical skills and a passion for caring for the elderly

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Proficiency in medication administration and IV therapy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with residents, families, and teammates
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to lead and supervise effectively
• Experience with nursing documentation and care planning
