Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to promote optimal oral health
• Assess patients' oral conditions and accurately record findings for the dentist
• Take and process dental X-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients on personalized oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
• Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures with precision and care
• Maintain meticulous patient records and ensure all instruments are properly sterilized

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team
• Prior experience in a dental office is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
• Proficiency in taking and developing dental radiographs
• Keen attention to detail for accurate patient assessments
• Ability to educate and motivate patients about oral health
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
