Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding preventive dental care, including cleanings and oral hygiene instructions
• Take and develop dental X-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Document patient care clearly and maintain updated dental records
• Educate patients on oral health practices to promote long-term wellness
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile, organized operatory

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient-centered approach
• Attention to infection control standards and detail

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency in taking dental radiographs
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to put patients at ease
• Familiarity with dental software and recordkeeping
