Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the NICU nursing team during night shifts
• Coordinate patient care for our tiniest patients and their families
• Ensure evidence-based practices and safety standards are met
• Mentor and support staff, fostering a collaborative environment
• Manage admissions, discharges, and emergency situations with confidence
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in California (or compact state)
• Solid NICU experience - you know your way around the unit
• Leadership experience in a charge nurse or supervisory role
• BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass background check and health screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert knowledge of NICU care standards and developmental care
• Strong leadership and delegation skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Critical thinking and quick decision-making in high-pressure situations
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation
• Compassionate, family-centered approach to care
