Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and operate ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment to optimize patient breathing
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and adjust therapy based on results
• Provide non-invasive ventilation care including CPAP and BiPAP management
• Deliver aerosol and nebulizer therapy and perform chest physiotherapy (CPT) as indicated
• Troubleshoot ventilator and respiratory device issues (Servo I, Hamilton, V60, Astral familiarity helpful)
• Document assessments and treatments accurately in the EMR (Meditech experience preferred)
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement respiratory care plans
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and contribute to rapid, calm, patient-focused interventions

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (required)
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (must have)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience (required)
• Experience with ventilator management and ABG analysis
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR is preferred by the director
• Trauma experience is a plus
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and patient-centered communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and advanced airway support
• ABG interpretation and respiratory assessment
• CPAP/BiPAP and non-invasive ventilation techniques
• Nebulizer therapies and chest physiotherapy (CPT)
• Experience with Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Meditech EMR documentation
• Ability to manage high-volume procedure loads and fast-paced acute care environments
