Respiratory Therapist - Acute Care
Location: Coos Bay, Oregon
Start Date: 08-25-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week; weekend and on-call schedules to be determined by facility
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and evaluate their response to care
- Provide respiratory treatments and therapies to patients, including infants and pediatrics
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments, health and wellness
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal respiratory outcomes
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute hospital setting
- Experience with infants and pediatric patients required
- Active Oregon Respiratory Therapist license required
- PALS certification required
- Strong clinical assessment and patient evaluation skills
